Sandra Tamele

Sandra Tamele is the only black female indie publisher in the PALOP. Tamele and her publishing house, Editora Trinta Zero Nove, were recipients of the London Book Fair International Excellence for Literary Translation Initiatives Award in 2021, and the BOP Children’s Books Publisher of the Year in Africa in 2023, in addition to being shortlisted for the Jabuti Award in Brazil.

Stephanie Kitchen

Stephanie Kitchen has been the Executive Director of African Books Collective since 2022. She is the Managing Editor at the International African Institute, SOAS University of London.
